Story of how three friends, who originally met while at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch. While wilderness camping in the Adirondack Mountains, discover a dog they rescue from a small plane crash which has killed the pilot. They follow a series of murders to discover a secret microchip being sold to the Russians. Along the way, we find that they work for a shell company that does secret special missions for an unknown federal government sponsor. The shell company, AG-Tronics, publically builds agricultural technology. Behind the scenes, they design special technology that enables them to successfully run secret missions. In this mission, they thwart the sale of the microchip, and save the life of the dog's owner, who is also the daughter of the microchip's inventor, who died in the small plane crash. Action takes place in Rhode Island, New York, Virginia, Florida, and Cuba.
