Dawson Wambi Ndhokero (1930 – 2012) was recognized as the innovative headmaster of the year 1976 in Uganda. Born of very humble peasant parents, Dawson learnt how to work through difficulties to the heights as the motto of his former school Chwa II Memorial College came to be. This brought him at an early age of ten into the hands of the pioneer of the Orthodox Christian faith in Uganda, later to become the Bishop Chrystophorous Spartas Ssebanja Mukasa of Uganda. After his studies at Degeya and Namungoona, he joined the teaching profession serving in his own villages in Busoga; first as license teacher and then attained the Grade II Certificate at Bishop Willis College in Iganga. This book tells a story of how he made his way up the ladders to become a permanent and pensionable headmaster at a time when Uganda was hopeless.
