Munindra Misra

Mahabharat in English rhyme

The Mahabharat, is an ancient tale of yore,
An epic saga, forever for humanity to explore.
Sabha Parva: The Justice assembly hall high,
Yudhishthira's throne, where justice meets the eye.

In Indraprastha, a palace so grand,
Built by Maya, with celestial hand.
Sage Narad arrives, with wisdom to share,
Teaching governance, with principles so fair.

Yudhishthira's Rajasuya, a conquest so wide,
Brothers in four directions, kings to abide.
Jarasandha falls, and captive kings are free,
Krishna's plan unfolds, a hero's destiny.

Duryodhana's envy, a heart full of pain,
Bhima's jests mock him, a sorrow to gain.
Yudhishthira gambles, loses all in a night,
Exile awaits, a bitter, sorrowful sight.
