I Dare You to Try It

On her way home from a night out, LAURIE LUGBOWSKOVSKY meets a bouncer in the West Village. She asks him for a random kiss that surprisingly leaves both Laurie and the bouncer with an unfinished taste. Laurie gives her phone number to the bouncer for a prospected friendship. In a short period, the bouncer also a writer catches Laurie’s attention. Yet, she resists his charm because she does not want to get involved in a relationship at this moment. One night, he dares her to try a kiss. Led by curiosity, she falls into temptation and spends a dream night with the bouncer; an experience that produces for her an amazing sensation never felt before.

The next day following that epic night, BARBARA BAMBINO visits Laurie. Laurie explains the relationship she started with the bouncer to her best friend. Barbara strongly advises Laurie to stop that dream and come back to reality. Laurie is an assistant director of marketing at an independent investment bank on Wall Street. Therefore, the idea of being with a bouncer does not satisfy Barbara, an eloquent and intelligent auditor who works at an accounting firm in Manhattan. During their moment of confession, Barbara reveals a secret of her own. Laurie takes Barbara’s advice and asks the bouncer who is head over heels in love with her to give her some space. Unexpectedly, his absence creates a strong feeling of emptiness in Laurie who realizes that she is also in love with him.

A few weeks, the bouncer becomes rich and famous after the publication of his book that is flying off the shelves. Meanwhile, Barbara and Laurie’s lives become a rollercoaster ride with the bouncer right in the middle of them. Discovering true love is the main purpose of that ride and only two of them can reach the final destination. As the ride is moving forward and quicker, it brings more confusion to them since its route is filled with lies, greed, pride, and betrayal. GABRIEL ANNASTAL, the bouncer’s brother and ANNA BROWN, the best friend of Laurie’s mother, feel obliged to venture themselves in the mission of finding the truth which is the stop button to that rollercoaster ride.
