Mick Foley has written several well-received books, including two #1 New York Times bestsellers (HAVE A NICE DAY and FOLEY IS GOD). He has also written several childrens books and two novels. For Foley's many, many fans, his love of the holiday season is well-known, and this is the first time he talks about how the Christmas spirit brought him back from his darkest points, and how he has taken it upon himself to use his fame and this message to improve the lives of others.
Foley is one of the most recognizable professional wrestlers ever, who has also fully crossed into the mainstream and appeared on numerous programs to talk about culture, politics, and his life.
Foley appeared as a guest several times on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, and was prominently featured at Stewart and Stephen Colbert's «Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear” where he was awarded the Medal of Reasonableness by Stewart himself.
Foley has a massive social media presence, with over 4 million followers on Twitter and Facebook, where he will actively promote SAINT MICK.
Though he retired from active participation several years ago, Foley is still featured on WWE's flagship program “Monday Night Raw” which is viewed by several million people each week.
We expect WWE to help promote SAINT MICK in some capacity.
Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer of the WWE, daughter of WWE CEO Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon, currently head of the White House's Small Business Administration, will write a foreword for the book.
Foley participated in the documentary film “I Am Santa”, which followed several men who played mall Santas during the holiday season, and is very close with the surprisingly large “Professional Santa” community, which will aid in promotion of the book.
