Will be the only biography of Warren Spahn available in the general trade. To be published fifteen years after Spahn's death, and forty-five years after he was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Spahn spent twenty years playing for the Braves, both when they were in Boston (1942, 1946–52) and Milwaukee (1953–64), as well a single season split between the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants (1965).
Baseball is one of the more successful sports in terms of book publishing, and having one on a Hall of Famer will increase readers' interest.
Will be of interest on a national scale, as well as in the specific markets where Spahn spent his playing career and life (growing up in Buffalo, New York, and living post-career in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma).
