A roaming spirit unsettles the world of a father and son who set out on a camping trip. They consult Makhosi Mandla, a sangoma (African traditional shaman healer), who informs the father, Mark Watson, that the cause of his ailments are due to a dead spirit that seeks a sacrifice from him. When Mark refuses to oblige, Makhosi turns her divination to his 14 year old son, Nicholas, calling on him to be the one who is able to heal. Shortly thereafter Nicholas is able to hear the voice of his late mother, Mary, and he receives a supernatural calling to become a sangoma initiate himself. Will the transforming and determined Nicholas be able to heal his critically ill father?
