Lily, after becoming a widow, has to decide if she is going to stay in Colorado or go back home to Oklahoma. She finds herself coming back to life with the help of the cop next door, her first real job and the house she makes into a home.
Brady is attracted to the new neighbor. When he finds out she is a widow he decides to accept her friendship. He tests her desserts to help prepare her for her interview, but he hopes that someday she will be the dessert.
