Leonardo, like his contemporary Christopher Columbus, possessed an insatiable curiosity and desire for discovery of unknown worlds. Only observation, says many times Leonardo, is the key to knowledge and understanding. Throughout his life Leonardo seeks to understand and control the nature. He constructed machines and original installations built bridges, dissected human bodies and trying to break into the Providence of God; for me he is a semi-god, or at least the Son of God.
This book reflects my passion for the creative genius of Leonardo and I have tried to gather and sort chronologically all his works known to me.Where it was possible and affordable, I briefly told the story of some of the masterpieces of Leonardo. Of course, to retell something an ingenious is too rather trivial, but the reader is free to simply enjoy the oil paintings and drawings. I wish you a happy minutes and hours with my collection.
