The play is set nowadays and it stages a famous yet unhappy movie director in his early 40s, coping with the unexpected return of his wife, 11 years after she had left him.

The play is about social relationships and family; the ties in the director’s family have been long broken and cannot be mended, thus his failed marriage and his cynical attitude towards the world.

The play puts forward the ideas of love and attachment to strong values, or the absence of these which brings failure to cope with the real life.
