The Truth About Awakening

unavailable
He awoke hastily in shock, feeling as if it had been centuries since he had last opened his eyes, but alas, it had. His thoughts returned and he heard the screams of his people and the immense suffering caused by the flames directed at them. He was shunned and abandoned along with the rest of his people, the war, the terrible war, because they could not understand. Mankind could not understand and would not understand his true nature and that of his people. He stood up, his strength restored, and as he did so the dust that had gathered on him fell to the ground. He looked around the cave where he had hidden centuries ago and he found his way out. He walked towards it, wanting to see the same wilderness as when he had entered. He walked to the entrance of the cave and found that it was close to midday and all he could see was a barren landscape. Except for a solitary tower in the distance, apparently overgrown and abandoned. As he stepped into the light, his blood boiled and the harsh reality of him and his people rushed back into his mind. He would wait for the night and then he would act.
