Listen in app
Sylvie Ganter worked for brands like Hermes and Fresh before co-creating her boutique fragrance line, Atelier Cologne with her former boss turned husband, Christophe Cervasel. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the brand boasts over twenty stand-alone stores around the world. It’s just one example of how indie fragrance brands are pretty much killing it right now, as the thirst for unique signature scents continues.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Atelier Cologne boasts over twenty stand-alone stores around the world— most recently with an outpost at Hudson Yards. The brand is so hot, L’Oréal Luxe scooped it up back in 2016. It’s just one example of how indie fragrance brands are pretty much killing it right now, as the thirst for unique signature scents continues. Come on— who doesn’t love those candy-coloured leather cases that can be monogrammed with custom-engraving?

In this episode, we’ll chat about the best-seller, Orange Sanguine, which has won a FIFI Award (that’s basically the Oscars of the fragrance world!) Sylvie also schools us on the difference between an eau de toilette, eau de parfum, and cologne. You’re also going to hear her tips for finding your own signature scent, how to tell someone you care about that their perfume is killing you and she shares her tips on making fragrance last (or in Carlene’s case, how to apply it so it doesn’t make her delicate nose all stuffy #TRUTH.)
