Pat is asked to deliver helium balloons to celebrate the re-opening of Pencaster Town Hall. The kids are being given balloons to release into the sky. At Ted’s Garage the balloons are released by mistake, to make matters worse PC Selby gets taken up in the air with them. PC Selby floats over Pencaster Harbour and Pat has to make a daring rescue attempt in his helicopter.

Postman Pat has been a famous and beloved character on TV and in books since the early 1980's. Together with his cat Jess, he delivers the post to the people in the village of Greendale and the surrounding countryside.

John Arthur Cunliffe (1933-2018) was a British author of children's books and television presenter, who is most famous for the books and TV show about Postman Pat, which he created together with the BBC.
