'The National Cook Book' is a cook book of recipes compiled by the self-described 'Lady of Philadelphia', author Hannah Mary Peterson. It features recipes on diverse dishes such as soups, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, cakes, biscuits and even sauces and jams. Among the recipes included are traditional favorites such as Roast Beef, Lobster salad, Dutch salad as well as pastries such as Pound Cake, Donuts, Macaroons and Apple pie.
