In hoary Bharatvarsh's haze, a holy chant was spun,
The Rig Veda so esteemed, beneath the dawning sun.
Countless verses to deities, in ten volumes they store,
Fire, air, sun, and soma, their virtues they explore.
Agni, the flame, the cleric, the deity, the light,
Indra, the champion, in whom the folks delight.
Varun, heavens, earth sustainer, with ethical right,
Rudra, the formidable, causing foes to take flight.
Rites and offerings, the stanzas clearly dictate,
To maintain the cosmic law, the sages relate.
Reverberates in the yajnas, a hallowed convention,
Recited in rhythmic measure, with divine perception.
From origin tales to ethical norms, it covers,
An eternal testament, from the Vedic discoverers.
So here's the Rig Veda, in summary, in verse,
A resonance of the divine, through the universe.
