Dal Ouba, (Dalal Oubani) is an Academic Literacy Teacher who has achieved academic scholarship in the area of curricular justice in education after publishing an academic article on this subject for the International Journal of Education (IEJ), Comparative Perspectives in 2014. Her multidisciplinary approach to educational matters is attributed to the fact she has an extensive educational background in Medical Science, Business, Education and the Arts (TESOL). She has also contributed towards the development and revision of the Australian Curriculum for both the English and History syllabuses stages 4-6. With almost a decades experience teaching in the secondary education sector, Dalal specialises in teaching scientific and academic literacy and has created many quality literacy programs for secondary schools in Sydney. Dalal has also presented at various international conferences on education and is currently the Director of Accelerate Australia, an educational website aimed at both complementing and assessing the impact of the Australian Curriculum on Australian society. As a certified workplace assessor and trainer, this allows Dalal to share her unique expertise with her peers, while contributing to improving the quality of the education system in Australia. Dalal currently teaches academic literacy across university colleges in Sydney and is commended for her professionalism in her field and highly regarded by her peers for her skills, especially developing unique and engaging educational materials that support student learning.
