Arsen had Steele nearly where he wanted her.
Did she found herself interested in his dark desires and he
thought she might be a viable candidate as his submissive mistress
After testing the waters a bit with her,
Arsen was impressed with how well she reacted to his strict ways.
The only drawback was the authorities were beginning to hammer him with
questions and he had to answer things he'd rather Steele not know about him at that time, or ever.
Steele found herself thinking about how much it was possible Arsen did kill the women
he was so close to being formally accused of.
It began to bother her how much Arsen was pressing her to prove she trusted him explicitly.
Her heart wouldn't let her head make rational decisions about the man who
seemed to be intertwining into her life more and more with each passing day.
A thing Rowan found should be stopped, earning him a place on Arsen's rule list for Steele.
Steele's list of rules Arsen seemed to be adding to much too quickly in her opinion.
It had them bickering about his over the top protective and dominating personality.
Breaking one of his rules proved an unwise thing to do and he had to exert his dominance.
When Arsen was arrested and formally charged with the murder of the first woman, Meagan Stanley,
Steele's heart filled with concern. She found some things out about the man while he was locked up.
Seemed Arsen had a bad past with a lot of pain and suffering,
a thing which had Steele's heart breaking for the little boy he was and the man he'd become.
A little more digging and Steele found things that had her mind spinning and
thinking she may have been wrong about him. Was she really safe with the man?
