The author, Nicola, was born in Italy and arrived in Australia the age of two. As a child fell in love with the bush and beaches of this new country, the largest island in the world. developing an early fascination for the unusual wild-life. also loving to explore the land with its mountains of rocks,scorching sun,brilliant blue skies and tall swaying gum trees.
