Research shows that a vase number of schools and youth organizations are using music, and poetry(and other arts) to help with the building of our youth. With so many issues in society, the struggle of our youth today is harder than ever. Helping them to develop with a positive outlook on life and display positive growth can be a challenge. Opening up and sharing can be a challenge for anyone, but especially for our youth.
As an author, I have created this short story,"Melodies of Life",to help with the unlocking of the door to communication with our youth. Melodies of Life is a book about young people dealing with everyday situations that can make you or brake you. The book focus on using positive outlets, such as poetry, to help make positive decisions. By using poetry as an outlet, Many conversations are ignited and the door to communication opens. In the book, youth began to share and realize that there is help without judgment. Melodies of Life is a great read for individuals and groups.
