Pirates. The scourge of the seas, attacking and stealing, raping and killing. The ship Lydia is on falls prey to pirates. Lydia must somehow find a way to survive, but she has nothing a pirate could want. Except her body. In desperation, Lydia tempts the pirate captain to want her, to want her so violently and with such hungry desperation that he will not share her. So she will survive, a virgin on a pirate ship, an innocent for an hour, until the pirate takes her and makes her his own. He think she's a whore and treats her as such. She knows him to be a pirate; he has killed and will kill again. But caught between violence and desire, survival and passion, these two find out they are something else, something beyond the lies they tell each other, and something more than the lies they want to believe about themselves.
