This book was beyond ridiculous. Dame Cartland's world was exceedingly narrow where other cultures are concerned. In her view,
(1) the English are beyond reproach,
(2) the French are wastrels enjoy life and ignore everything else, and
(3)the Greeks civilized the world

Absolute garbage...
