Silver Springs

Ben and Edie McCormack worked their whole lives, trying to save up enough money to raise their two daughters and have a little left over for their retirement. But the market crash wiped out their savings and what little was left was swept away by the housing crisis, leaving them with a home in foreclosure and nowhere to go. So they decide to become camp hosts at the Silver Springs campground in Mount Rainier National Park, where they hope to find some peace and quiet and a place to live rent-free while they figure out how start over yet again.

But the summer at Silver Springs will be anything but quiet for Ben and Edie, with an unexpected visit from their reality TV star daughter, Jillian, who's looking to make their story her next hit. They'll have to deal with Melanie, the park ranger with a voluntary case of Tourette's, and Skylar, their teenaged granddaughter who ends up at Silver Springs looking for love but finding trouble.

But most disturbing is the dusty old Winnebago that rolls into camp, with the covered windows and the strange noises coming from within. Like a boy poking at a hornet's nest with a stick, Ben has no way to know that his curiosity will let loose a series of events that'll change all of their lives forever.

Surviving the summer at Silver Springs will force Ben and Edie to summon the strength of their time-tested marriage, stripping away the weathered resentments between parents, children and siblings, revealing the resilience of an American family rebuilding their American dream.
