A former democratic leader and Governor of the United States, John Freeman, is kidnapped from his home and brought to an underground facility just hours before an apocalyptic event. There he meets the son of Victor (the man who built the facility), Christophe, who asks him to lead and manage the survivors in the Ark. John accepts reluctantly, with suspicion of Victor's true motives. John's son, unknowing to his father and to himself has been working for Victor Mason on an anti-radiation compound and catalyst. The timing of his success is highly suspicious. All eyes are slowly turning to Victor for answers and the part he played in the end of the known world.As the people come to terms with their new lives in the underground utopia their safety comes under threat again by a stepson of Victors named Hugo, who has been plotting Victor's demise for a very long time with the aid of his allies. When the time is right he will take control and lead the people in his vision of the future. John Freeman, his son and friends must defend the last human colony if mankind is to start a new and begin its search for any survivors on the surface.
