    The city
    Miami (Miami) is a city located on the Atlantic coast in south-eastern Florida (Florida). Miami is forty-fourth largest U.S. cities with a population of 399,457 people. This is the main, central and most populated city in South Florida and most populous metropolis in the southeast. Miami is recognized as the fourth largest urbanized area of the United States after New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Miami has received official city status in the twenty-eighth in July 1896 when the territory lived little more than three hundred. In 1940, the city lived 172,000 people. In downtown Miami is the largest concentration of international banks in the country, this is the place of domicile of many major companies nationally and internationally.
