JOHN 3:16-TRUE LOVE, TRUE JUSTICE

All over the world people cry out for justice that is true and equitable. Divine justice is also essential and will ultimately be fulfilled in what the Bible calls the day of judgment. But how well do Christians understand final judgment? Do we warn of a day of reckoning that is truly fair and just? Do we take John 3:16 at face value?

John 3:16 beautifully captures the love and justice of God. Out of love, the Father sent the Son to die on our behalf so that whoever puts their trust in Him will have eternal life. All who reject God's offer of reconciliation will perish. Their lives will end. This is plainly appropriate for one cannot reject their Creator and expect to enjoy the privilege of life in the Creator's universe.

The common evangelical practice, however, has been to teach that perish in John 3:16 means suffer forever in hell. But what if perish means perish?

Through a close look at the key biblical passages that address the destiny of the unsaved, Rescue from Death reveals what Adam and Eve, David, Isaiah, John the Baptist, Jesus, and the apostles tell us about final judgment. Dig into God's Word and discover a Savior who loves everyone, died for the world, and rescues all who believe in Him from death.
