Guy Randall suffered a sudden and violent death. Roger West of Scotland Yard is tasked with solving the case, but is perplexed as all leads seem to go back to a series of thefts from a chain of shops and at the same time, nearly everyone involved seems to belong to the same Football Club. It is a very unusual and complex case which has an equally surprising conclusion as West quite literally attempts to identify the criminals behind the killing in front of thousands of spectators at one of the Club’s games.
