Yuri is close to losing everything. He was forced to leave his parents—along with Shiyalta’s queen—to certain death after the three drank poisoned wine during dinner. Meanwhile, the extent of the poison’s effect on Princess Carol—his wife-to-be—and her unborn child remain unclear.
To reach safety, Yuri has fled the royal castle along with Carol on the same kingeagle. He must make contact with his family’s soldiers in the capital and lead the fight as they break free from the city. If he can reach home and assume control of his father’s army, his next fight will be for vengeance.
Although Princess Carla was the poisoner, the witches that infest the capital are behind the plot. Yuri vows to show no mercy until everyone responsible lies dead. The kingdom must be reformed, beginning with the eradication of the witches.
