Военное время, тёмная, дождливая Барселона и тайна одной книги.
Моя любимая атмосфера, потрясающий стиль письма, но для меня эмоционально не дотянули персонажи.

    🔮Hidden Depths

Maybe life has a strange sense of humor, repeating itself into different men and watches how they reacts.

The characters, Julian and Daniel, are ages decades apart, yet they found each other in a strain of coincidences and realising how similar their life plots are. Parallel life. Indeed, Daniel search of Julian have made him wiser and learnt from the former mistakes, but then again, tragedy wasn't very easy to cheat and reluctant to forefend.

I loveeeee the love stories here, even if it doesn't have happy endings. It's joy, it's sad, it's meaningful. Live goes on.

It was a magnificent day; the skies were electric blue and a crystal breeze carried the cool scent of autumn and the sea. I will always prefer Barcelona in October. It is when the spirit of the city seems to stroll most proudly through the streets, and you feel all the wiser after drinking water from the old fountain of Canaletas - which, for once, does not taste of chlorine. I was walking along briskly, dodging bootblacks, pen pushers returning from their midmorning coffee, lottery vendors, and a whole ballet of street sweepers who seemed intent on polishing the streets, using their brooms like paintbrushes, unhurriedly and with a pointillist's strokes.
