Many people no longer recognize themselves in what is being reported by governments and media, or doubt whether they are being told the whole truth. And what happened to dialogue? Why has widespread censorship by mainstream media and social media become commonplace? It seems as if only one truth is allowed, namely the government’s. In that case, do we still live in a democracy?
This book has been written for and by people who do not want to look away, but who dare to face reality. Who are willing to confront an unexpectedly uncertain future and who have started their own search for the truth. A quest that we, in this book, refer to as awakening.
The authors of this book have asked a group of critical and articulate people from The Netherlands and Belgium to write down their personal stories about when and what changed their awareness of reality, and what consequences this has had on their lives. For some, this happened years ago, others woke up during the so-called corona crisis.
