Dr. John Carter's fourth novel is about four boys who travel by ferry to go on a boy scout camping trip to British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, chaperoned by Ned's uncle, Dr. Reilly, a psychotherapist.
Shortly after arriving at camp, the boys go exploring and stumble on a tragic event that forever alters their lives.
Through trauma and regret, friendships and love, the young men grow into adulthood, wrestling with dark echoes of that fateful day.
Unchecked and unexamined, the past has a way of inpluencing the present, and soon another tragedy challenges their comraderie and pushing them to their emotional limits.
