Broken Flowers

I feel too much, I love too much, and
I always give people the best of me,
even when I know they don’t deserve it at all.

I Love You More
I know you’re broken
and I don’t say this just to say it,
but I know you’ve been through hell and back
and it has changed you.
You’re not the same person I once knew
and it’s not that I want to fix you
or save you
or anything that has to do with that.
It’s more like
I will accept you
and take your flaws
for more than what they are.
If you’re a hurricane
then I’ll be the sea
that gives you the strength
to go on.

Sadness
And it is sad how people come and go.
It is almost too beautiful to bear,
the way people gently come into our lives
to leave just as softly.
But that’s life, right?
We make memories with other people
to remember them once they’re gone.
We exchange experiences and expect to learn
something valuable in between.
The same way we have to learn to let go
and the same way we have to learn
how to embrace change as it comes.
And that’s what makes this life beautiful,
for it is the coming and the going that makes us
who we are.
