A threat on her life drives Ali Swanson to leave Melbourne. She boards a coach heading for Queensland. A freak, violent storm forces the coach to make an unscheduled stop at Segal Bay, a small seaside village. Ali is drawn to the village and decides to stay.
Olivia Rossetti owns the Corner Café. She was reluctant to hire Ali, but for some circumspect reason, she does.
The Bay presents a serene ambience and Ali finally begins to feel safe¬¬-but the undercurrents of her past surface, putting her life in danger again.
