The Zion in Christianity and in History book covers the extent of Christianity's preoccupation with Zion and Jerusalem. The book reveals the story of the Jews, who adhere strongly to their roots, despite two thousand years of dispersal among others, and despite their feeling that their holies wound up with others. This historic, doctrinal and political dilemma has led to struggles over holy places which significantly cheapened human life; how can, or will, this dilemma end?! Not to mention that, digging deep into Christian doctrine will lead to confirmation that the end of this tangible world is linked to that part of the world….Zion and Jerusalem! This is precisely what our Lord Christ prophesied.

The book consists of three chapters. The first chapter addresses God's intent with regards to mankind, and with respect to choosing the children of Israel. It then discusses God's unperceived approach to mankind, through symbols, prophecies and mysteries. From thence we followed the name of “Zion” through both Testaments of the Holy Bible; in so doing, we revealed the relationship between the name “Zion” and the children of Israel, and the name's relationship with the mystery of Christ.

The second chapter deals with the story of the children of Israel. It starts with Abraham, then proceeds to their estrangement in Egypt, their inheritance of the Promised Land, their captivity and subsequent return, the crucifixion of Christ, and their dispersal all over the world. The chapter clarifies that God's promise to them in the Holy Bible, concerning the reality of their homecoming, was fundamentally aimed at their return to the knowledge and understanding of God's expectations from them, namely, their belief on the Lord Christ Who, through His Cross, saved all humanity from the penalty of death and from evil's dominion.

Finally, the third chapter discusses the progression of Zion and Jerusalem, as a location, from the beginning in the Holy Bible until the end of history according to our Lord Christ's prophecy and the destruction of the earthly Jerusalem which will signal the end of life on earth!! The chapter clarifies the materialization of the great mystery, namely, the Jewish nation's belief on Christ, according to Old Testament in order for all humanity, Jews and Gentiles, to reap the heavenly inheritance, in the real heavenly Zion.

In the end, we thus find that Zion, which appeared at the beginning of the Holy Bible as a geographic location in Jerusalem, and was conquered by King David, appears in the Holy Bible as a heavenly location, where our Lord Christ stands with mankind's faithful. The story of Zion in the Holy Bible, therefore, is the depiction of mankind's path of transformation from its earthly life to the celestial angelic life, and its deliverance from death to eternal life in the heavenly Jerusalem — where God dwells with humans!
