The Princess's Revenge

Laura Reinhart once had it all. She has a father who loves her and a Crown Prince who will make her queen one day. She is betrayed when the Crown Prince falls for another and orders her father into a battle he has no chance of winning. The Crown Prince marries another while she is grieving her father's death and she is exiled. Her plans for revenge fail as she is assassinated before she is successful.

Laura dies with a heart filled with regret and wakes in front of her father's corpse.

Instead of breaking down inconsolably when the Crown Prince comes to break off their engagement like last time, she attacks and severely injures him.

Again, she is exiled, but her circumstances are different now. Even though she is punished for her crime by being shackled and sentenced to serve the rest of her days in the middle of nowhere, she has knowledge of her past life to aid her.

This time, she will make the right choices and have her revenge.

The last thing on her mind is to fall in love with a mysterious man with an unknown past or for the man to have a secret of his own that will change everything.

~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
“Laura Reinhart. You are guilty of the crime of grievous harm again the member of the royal family. You are stripped of all your title, territory, assets, and vassals,” announced the aide of the king in his booming voice. “It is only because of your father's contributions to the kingdom that you may keep your head. You hereby deported to Udenia, the estate of the Lead family, where you will serve as their lord.”
The sentence was less harsh than she had expected. She had been stripped of all her titles and then immediately afterwards granted a title of 'lord' of Udenia? This Udenia must be a barren land, then. She wracked her memory of the place, but it was not somewhere that had come up in her previous lifetime.
She felt like she had heard the name before.
Oh.
Oh, she had been wrong about the sentence not being harsh. Udenia was a barren land that snowed eight months a year. It had been her mother's hometown and though the territory was vast, there was little in terms of resources. Even the journey there was precarious, the forests surrounding the territory filled with dangerous beasts and mythical creatures that have denounced mankind entirely.
Considering the nature of her dragon, which was linked closely with fire, she was likely to freeze to death before she reached Udenia.
This way, the King could claim to be benevolent by sparing her life while secretly wishing for her death.
She smirked in amazement. She had certainly underestimated the king in her past life.
Laura looked up at King Frauthon and saw his expression was dark. In her past life, he had looked at her sympathetically, as if apologetic for what his stupid son had done. In this life, she had crippled his only heir. His expression was grim. In her past life, he had openly berated his son in front of her when Crown Prince Louis cried foul that her sentence was too light, as if hoping that she would be satisfied with a few harsh words. “Not only have you married the wrong woman, you did not even wait for Lord Garguan's body to be buried before calling off the engagement to his daughter.”
In this lifetime, he did not say a thing at all, as if worried about the words that would come from his mouth if he said a word at all. There was no Crown Prince beside him to whisper into his ears. She wondered if he was still bedridden, if the burns on his body could be healed.
She grinned with teeth and bowed low. “This lowly one thanks her king for his generosity and hopes to repay in kind,” she said.
The king's expression darkened even more, his lips thinning, but he continued to stay quiet.
A coward to the end.
