Fairy tales with lost children (usually in a forest) are widespread. Also these children get into trouble in the woods by ignoring their parents’ warnings. But some children with more initiative must have ventured into the forest on purpose and many old ladies lived by doing chores for neighboring peasants. In “Hansel and Gretel in the Enchanted Forest” we find out what may have really happened in that forest.
