Summer whispers of winter and tells
me how I’ll grow sick
of snow
skies are tiring
when reflecting nothing
but white turned grey by dirty boots
I’ll learn to miss the marigold
next to the lake
once reflected instead
and I’ve grown now and realize how true
it was said
