Urban Visionary

Who is Urban Visionary

Jane Jacobs was a journalist, author, thinker, and activist who was of American and Canadian descent. She had a significant impact on the fields of urban studies, sociology, and economics. Her book, which was published in 1961 and titled The Death and Life of Great American Cities, contended that “urban renewal” and “slum clearance” did not respect the requirements of those who lived in cities.
