Most recorders also allow you to transfer the voice files straight to your computer, where you can store them as you would a conventional written journal.

I’ve met people who have separate notebooks for dreams, self-dialogues, and stream-of-consciousness journaling; people who put everything into a single notebook; as well as others who capture thoughts while out and about on 3x5 index cards.
