William has returned to prison, ironically for a crime he didn't commit, rather than the multitude that he did.
Wily and settled with life in prison, he experiences periods of camaraderie peppered with violence, inevitable given the collection of inmates outside of his close circle. William has health problems, a testicle swelling to the size of a grapefruit, aggravated by negligent medical care.
William is resigned to spend the rest of his life in prison until he is contacted by a woman who travels from overseas to visit. She changes his outlook and his priorities.
With a seventy five year sentence, to be served in the hostile and brutal Texas prison system, is a relationship too late for William?
