So — Satan, in the almighty name of Jesus, I come against you. I command you to get your filthy hands off my friend’s life. No longer can you torment or oppress him. You cannot hold him in bondage in any way. Jesus shed His precious blood to set him free! So from this moment on, your dominion over my friend is finished.
And Lord Jesus, I commit my friend into Your precious loving hands. Let him know he is completely protected. Let him know that You have placed the fiery wall of Your presence and truth around him, and no demon of hell can touch his life again. Thank You that You bought our victory with You

His love; to enjoy sweet fellowship with Him, to minister to His heart by spending time with Him.
My friend, if you’re really abiding in Jesus, you don’t have to worry about whether He’ll use you to help Him or not. He will! It will be a very natural by-product of your relationship. You won’t even have to ask Him to use you. It will automatically happen.
But that’s not your business. You’re not supposed to think or worry about that. Jesus will take care of it in His own perfect way. All you are supposed to concentrate on is getting close to Jesus yourself.
There is nothing that we can do to honor and please the Lord Jesus more than by giving Him our whole heart

elf. All the fellowship and spiritual blessings in the world won’t be worth half as much as the joy of knowing Jesus in a personal, intimate way. I’ll stop seeking only the nice blessings and instead seek the one who wants to bless me.
Now this might surprise you, but I’m even going to quit letting the goal of serving the Lord dominate my life. Even my spiritual works for the Lord are not enough. No, if Jesus is going to be my first love, then He demands that I be occupied mainly with Himself. He doesn’t want me to work real hard for Him half as much as He wants me to simply abide in Him. Abiding in Jesus — that means to feast on

my First Love. I’ll care more about my relationship to Him than anything else. Spending time with Him will be my hobby. In fact, I’ll enjoy being with Him more than I could ever enjoy being with my family or anyone else I love.
Jesus will be the dearest person on earth to me. He won’t seem like a vague spiritual being far away in heaven anymore, but I’ll realize that He has feelings, thoughts, desires, and plans just like I do. I’ll be fascinated by His personality and I’ll want to get to know Him just as well as possible. In fact, getting to know Jesus will be the goal of my life.
But do you know what else? My life will stop being centered on all the nice Christian activities and meetings I love to attend and will start to be centered on Jesus Hims

will be open to His love.
Instead of expecting money or other people to give me a happy life, I’ll spend hours alone with Jesus, just getting to know Him and cultivating His friendship. My relationship with Jesus will completely satisfy me so that I won’t need to depend on anything else.
Praise the Lord, I’ll also be able to quit my struggle to be good. Jesus is my righteousness, and He fulfilled the Law for me so that I don’t have to worry about it. All I have to do is to let Him live through me. He’ll do all the work while I just relax and enjoy Him.
If I really love the Lord Jesus with all my heart, then He’s going to be even more to me than my Master and my source. He’s also going to be
