A first-time traveller abroad, the author Rashidep is warned that Manila can be a dangerous place. A meeting with the local mafia boss soon confirms that. An appalling situation then confronts Rashidep, which involves plenty of blood and horror. The situation worsens when his life is threatened. Days later, still weakened and in shock, Rashidep starts to fight back. Warns the author: «I don’t want to scare you, but this is a true story. They even changed the law in the Philippines because of what happened.» Still dogged by nightmares over it all, Rashidep does survive, but just barely.
