Published quarterly, Duck Lake Journal is a literary series of Duck Lake Books, a not for profit literary publisher located on the Pacific coast of Washington state. From these humble, rural roots, the Journal has spread branches around the world, publishing poetry and fiction from across the Americas, Europe, India and Asia. We actively seek and welcome poetry and fiction from all corners of this round Earth. Through compassion and art, we can all live in harmony and peace.
Its motto is “the home lake of literary arts” because its vision is to clearly highlight the role literature plays, or can play, in our daily personal and public lives. If political divisions are the scars on humanity, the arts are clearly the wound dressing necessary to heal.
