Dog Three, a vicious killing-beast by design, awakens one day with the terrifying memory that he was once a man. Unable to bear life as a caged and mistreated animal, he devises an escape for himself and his pack. Demonstrating human ingenuity far beyond their design parameters, the Dogs recreate their identity as Wolves and flee.
Commander Elwha and the full weight of the navy is in hot pursuit, refusing to be outsmarted by a Dog that his own lab created.
