The core subject of the book is centred on the period from 2009 and the rather unexpected arrest, life while on remand in prison, conviction, and subsequent court proscribed rehabilitation programme. Around these fascinating, funny and sometimes frustrating episodes are many of the wider experiences of a child growing up that I consider have contributed to that life changing set of events. These include a young boy's discover of general sexuality, a clear focus of being homosexual, coping with adult life as such, many more diverse experiences of experimentation and desire.
