“Tales from the Great Divide” is a tender remembrance of a world and way of life long gone. The immigrants and their first American born generation still bound to the old country and still clinging to the old ways, married Italy to the majestic Rocky Mountains and in so doing planted another tree in the lush forest of the American landscape. This is America — many trees sharing a common soil. Through the social earthquake of the middle part of the Twentieth Century the only female offspring of a large Italian clan chronicles the history of her family as it endeavors, with humor, love and pride in an ancient heritage, to root ever more deeply where it was planted.
