Women are expected
To stay soft
To be selfless
To adapt
And to sacrifice
But some of us
Haven’t been soft in a long time
Hardened by the burdens put on us by the world
Exhausted from the expectations forced on us
And too stubborn to act like we fit in anymore
Some of us
are As untameable as the sea As enraged as the storm
As tough as the sun And as persistent as the wind
This book is for us For the angry women
The tough women
The stubborn women
The women who know they deserve better
We are never alone
