More than fifty poems aimed at encouraging young people – perhaps age 8 to mid-teens – to engage with the magic of poetry. It starts simple ('delight and insight') but develops through the uplifting and intriguing before touching on the fact that life cannot go on for ever. Many of the poems rhyme, some don't. Many take traditional forms, some don't. There are poems on many topics – humour, birds/trees/landscapes, the mind – even some about poems themselves.
