On a brisk October morning during rush hour, Detectives Jimmy O’Connor and Frank Tolbert of the Boston Police Homicide Unit are called to the South Station Terminal to investigate the brazen murder of Peter Sandusta. He was killed in front of hundreds of people, yet no one saw the murder occur. The killer vanished into the crowd. So begins their search for what the media has dubbed the “Southie Slasher.” O’Connor and Tolbert find themselves racing against the clock as their search reveals their target to be a vicious serial killer with no set modus operandi, other than his weapon of choice—a knife. As the victim count increases, the FBI begins to profile a killer who may ultimately be targeting O’Connor and Tolbert themselves.
