It is important to note that when you use a desktop wallet, you should no longer connect the computer to the Internet. This is because connecting it to the Internet exposes it to risks. Also, before you use any computer as a desktop wallet, it is strongly recommended that you first reformat your computer. This is to ensure that it is free of malware and viruses. You can use any computer just make sure that it has a well-functioning Operating System. Although a cold wallet offers a high level of security, it does not mean that it can no longer be compromised. Its protection is only as far as Internet hazards are concerned. This means that if your computer gets broken, then it will be difficult for you to recover your cryptocurrencies unless you have another copy of the public and private keys of your cryptocurrency wallet. Therefore, make sure that the computer that you are using has a decent quality and is working properly.
