Danny Nolan is a bit lost. His father has died and his mother has moved them from their house in the country to London where he starts at an inner-city secondary school. His life has been turned upside-down in a matter of weeks and, looking for friendship and some stability, Danny becomes friends with the sons of local tough businessman and gangster Roy Pritchard.Roy senses vulnerability in young Danny and is quick to manipulate him. Before long Danny finds himself inextricably woven into Roy's shadier activities and he no longer feels safe.
